TETER, LLP, is a full-service, award-winning architecture and engineering firm serving clients throughout California's Central Valley and Central Coast. Between our recent growth and the positive outlook for 2018, we are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in Fresno.

The Mechanical Project Engineer manages the development of project documents in conjunction with the work of other architects, engineers and technicians. This includes completing HVAC load calculations and HVAC/plumbing system design, managing project resources and financials (including reporting, EV updates, etc.), working with industry vendors, corresponding directly with clients, and other project related functions.

The successful Mechanical Project Engineer must be able to:

  • Apply the basic principles of mechanical design elements including but not limited to HVAC and Plumbing systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, technicians, clients, sub-consultants and others in the design of mechanical systems (HVAC and/or Plumbing) on a project level basis.
  • Lead project teams, which includes providing provides guidance for project drafters, EITs and engineers.
  • Develop and execute project work plans, oversee project financials, and coordinate manpower assignments.

Minimum requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Current registration as a Mechanical Professional Engineer in the State of California;
  • Seven to ten years of experience as a Mechanical Professional Engineer, including HVAC and/or plumbing design;
  • Project management experience;
  • Proficiency in all levels of construction document development;
  • Experience working on projects that have California Building Code requirements;
  • Proficiency in office drafting standards including the use of REVIT and/or AutoCAD;
  • Ability to work well with others, follow instructions and grasp concepts with high attention to detail; and
  • Excellent communication skills.

Compensation is based on experience.
