Our Electrical Team designs lighting systems, power distribution, and renewable, energy-efficient solutions that reduce energy consumption while keeping lights on, rooms cool, and motors running. The Electrical Project Engineer will lead these design efforts, directing a team of drafters, EITs, and engineers, while also collaborating with other disciplines in order to deliver quality construction documents through a seamless and efficient design process.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional project manager who can direct the production of project documentation and drawings, develop and execute project work plans, oversee project financials, and coordinate manpower assignments. He/she is an excellent client relationship manager and can develop relationships with new clients, developing new business for the firm.


  • Completes electrical design tasks and calculations for all aspects of building electrical design per code standards
  • Researches design options and applies engineering judgment to determine viable electrical designs
  • Performs own drafting assignments and provides oversight for design and drafting tasks to assigned drafters and EITs
  • Establishes and maintains electrical fees and budget for assigned projects in collaboration with Electrical Business Unit Leader
  • Coordinates project electrical requirements with clients and consultants, both in-house and outside


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Current registration as an Electrical Professional Engineer in the State of California
  • 7-10 years of experience as an Electrical Professional Engineer, including building electrical design
  • Experience working on projects that have California Building Code requirements and is up-to-date on current CBC documentation
  • Proven time management skills including setting goals, prioritizing, estimating hours and completing tasks on time

Compensation based on experience. Benefits take effect on the 1st of the month following the date of employment and include medical, dental and employee-paid vision plans. A cafeteria plan, 401(k) plans, supplemental insurance, and Wellness and Gym programs are also available.
