TETER, LLP, is a full-service, award-winning architecture and engineering (A/E) firm serving clients from five offices throughout California's Central Valley and Central Coast. After a year of tremendous growth including the addition of two new offices, we're planning for additional strategic growth in 2018, beginning with an experienced Construction Manager in Fresno, Modesto or Visalia.

The Construction Manager III will independently manage and oversee all aspects of the bidding, construction and closeout phases of multiple construction projects.  This includes managing project schedules and resource planning, overseeing project financial performance during construction-related phases, and leading and managing the project team. The Construction Manager will have direct contact and communication with owners, contractors, and consultants, negotiating on behalf of the firm and resolving conflict in the field.

The successful Construction Manager must demonstrate good independent judgment, know how to prioritize projects based on schedules and deadlines, and be able to make decisions on behalf of the firm. This requires outstanding communication skills and the ability to work closely with, support and collaborate with clients, owners, contractors, consultants, and internal staff, positively representing the firm and building long-lasting client relationships. The Construction Manager must possess a high level of understanding of issues that often arise from designs with constructability problems and the ability to work with the design team to prevent issues in the future.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or construction management
  • Construction Documents Technology (CDT), Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA), and/or LEED certifications
  • Possession or pursuit of California Architect's license is preferred but not required
  • 7-10 years of experience in construction management or a related field
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications is imperative.
  • Ability to use PDF software for digital review, processing and the approval of construction documents
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or REVIT is a plus but not required

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation based on experience. Benefits take effect on the 1st of the month following the date of employment and include medical, dental and employee-paid vision plans. A cafeteria plan, 401(k) plans, supplemental insurance, and Wellness and Gym programs are also available.
